Last year, Patrick D. Green (we can’t imagine what that D stands for) played an alcoholic widower in Crazy Right. While the film contains a notable full-frontal moment, what makes this more interesting, is that Green posted a video of himself talking about nudity in film a year or so before.
In it, he ponders why there’s an adverse reaction to men in film (is there?! Girl, we been squashing that shit since back in 2014).
“I was wondering why people have this visceral reaction to seeing – males mostly – but anybody naked on screen,” he questions.
“I think that has to do with fear. This fear, that at our core we are all vulnerable, naked animals, and we’re delicate and fragile. And people don’t want to think that with regards to men”.
Green goes on to say that, while for him as an actor the nudity is dependant on the script, if it’s necessary, he’s “willing to go there”.
“As an actor, I’m willing to bring that character to life, and that means all aspects…” including from the waist down! Well, he is a man of his word:
From IMDb:
After the traumatic loss of his wife, a man attempts to recover the details of the demise of their relationship amidst his alcoholism and stress induced agoraphobia. A Walkman and a stash of old cassettes may hold clues to what actually occurred… or, he may simply be losing his mind.
