We imagine that working on a show like Game of Thrones is quite the experience, but according to Kit Harington, it’s not all sword-fighting and dragon rides.

Harington, who plays Danaerys’ love interest Jon Snow on the hit show, has revealed how filming the scene where he takes one of her dragons for a spin, almost ended in disaster.

In a behind-the-scenes look at the show, creators reveal how they craft the unreal special effects seen each episode, including having Harington ride a buck, which would later be superimposed by a dragon.

“Buck work is not easy. I think what sums up the buck for me was there was a bit where Jon almost falls off,” he said. “The dragon swings around really violently, like this, and my right ball got trapped, and I didn’t have time to say ‘Stop!’ And I was being swung around.

“In my head, I thought, This is how it ends, on this buck, swinging me around by my testicles, literally.

Sorry. Probably too much information.”

As guys, we’re curious about the logistics of this. Trapped between what and what? And the fact that he thought he was having his ball amputated and still didn’t yell tells you how much of a professional he is.

The talk of that scenes begins around 14:00 minutes, but there are some truly fascinating insights if you’re a stan of the show.
