“The beginning is near”, reads the URL at the end of American Horror Story’s latest teaser. Something which reiterates a recent comment from producer Alexis Martin Woodall; “The story begins with the end of the world, and then our world begins.”

Which leads up to believe we experience the apocalypse first, and the other seasons/worlds of AHS are born. It’ll be interesting to see how Ryan Murphy pulls this off!

In the latest trailer too, though, we’re introduced to Sarah Paulson’s newest character: Venable.

“Now is your chance to be one of the few remaining,” she says. “This is your chance to survive. We’ll find you soon.”

Between the evil stepmother get-up, and spine-tingling proposition, we’re wondering if Sarah Paulson is actually playing a bad guy for once?! And if so, we can’t wait for that performance.

Bill Eichner has tweeted from the set saying that it’s “insane”, while Paulson has said, “it’s the apocalypse in the truest sense of the word.” So we’re expecting a BIG budget.

AHS returns to FX on September 12.
