Tom Berkland may have a – very prominent – role in Broadway’s Bent, but from his full-frontal scene, there isn’t a curve in sight.
Bent was originally penned in 1979 by Martin Sherman. The play revolves around the persecution of gays in Nazi Germany, and takes place during and after the Night of the Long Knives.
Perhaps it should be called ‘girthy knives’ instead?
It doesn’t look like we’ll be visiting theatres (at least in the same way) any time soon, so we’ll take this a memento of the art of theatre.
