Transport secretary Pete Buttigieg and his husband Chasten have announced that they have become parents.
In a post to Pete’s Twitter and Instagram account, he wrote:
For some time, Chasten and I have wanted to grow our family. We’re overjoyed to share that we’ve become parents! The process isn’t done yet and we’re thankful for the love, support, and respect for our privacy that has been offered to us. We can’t wait to share more soon.
Meanwhile, gay celebs rushed to wish the couple congratulations, among those; Nyle DiMarco, Charlie Carver, and Danny Frenzese.
Back in February 2020, Pete told PEOPLE that “no matter what happens, I think the next chapter in our personal lives is going to be about kids”.
Pete and Chasten – who originally met on dating app Hinge – previously described the gay adoption process as “a really weird cycle of anger and frustration and hope. You think it’s finally happening and you get so excited, and then it’s gone.”
Well, it’s here now! Congratulations!
