Each week on the NSFW Loose Lads chat-show we’re discussing those ever important questions. On this weeks episode, ‘Til Death Do We Party’, we’re talking about death.
For example; why do people write paragraphs on social media about someone they barely knew who has passed? How do you stop people uploading photos of you after you’ve gone? And what happens to your OnlyFans when you die?
After discussing the horror of having friends or family go through your camera roll to find a funeral photo and having to churn through a swamp of nude photos, host Anthony Gilét proposes the question: “but wait, what happens to your OnlyFans when you die?”
After joking with fellow host James Egan that OnlyFans would turn the page into a memorial “with all of your best bits”, we decided to find what actually happens.
According to Snug, effectively, it comes down to “digital estate planning”, and users are advised to leave the wishes of their account in their will. Meaning you can plan for the account to be closed, or transfer the access to someone living. You might wanna pick that person very carefully.
There is surprisingly very little information of this, especially from the platform itself, and given the nature of the content you would lose access to.
